Sarah Burtis

sr. UX REsearcher

Sarah Burtis

I’m naturally curious—about people, how things work, and how to make experiences better. That curiosity shows up in a lot of ways: working as a fly fishing guide and educator, volunteering with Casting for Recovery and Trout Unlimited, and leading user research to help teams create products that deliver real value to both users and businesses. I love learning, sharing what I learn, and helping others do the same.

For the past 10 years, I’ve worked as a UX researcher across industries like healthcare, education, retail, and SaaS, helping teams uncover what truly matters to their users. My interests span mixed-methods research, service design, and research ops. I’m skilled at connecting dots across teams and turning insights into clear, actionable stories that guide confident decisions.

What I bring is a blend of empathy, curiosity, and steadiness under pressure—whether in a user research research setting or standing knee-deep in a river.
